2016 Abastur and Pizza Show Mexico

Last week, Marra Forni had the honor of being a premier sponsor for the 2016 Pizza Show Mexico, which just launched this year as an addition to the Abastur Show. Abastur in conjunction with the Pizza Show included 20,000 buyers and traffic of around 5,000 visitors, decision-makers and purchasers. Mexico is the second largest pizza consumer in the world with 120 million pizzas consumed a year, therefore, there was a growing need for focus on this industry. The show featured our good friend and World Pizza Cup Champion, Tony Gemignani, who led a workshop during the Gastronomic Forum and served as president of the Pizza Show Competition jury. The competition on Friday ended with a bang, showcasing Mexico’s brightest new talent! This was the best event to attend if you have interest in the Mexican restaurant industry, especially interest in running your own pizzeria, because of access to the latest in raw materials, beverages, furniture and equipment. Now that Mexico has been exposed to best of wood-fired cooking there’s no turning back…let the Mexican pizza industry roll!
